Mung beans are incredibly versatile and typically eaten in salads, soups and stir-frys It is often eaten as a breakfast dish in southern India along with rice porridge.

How to use Rani Organic Moong Dal:

  • Soak the Beans overnight or at least 4-5 hours before you start boiling.
  • In a Pressure Cooker Boil the Rani Moong Beans at least for 35-40 minutes, after boiling them.
  • In addition to a hearty soup or stew-like preparation, dal as an ingredient can also be used to pack a nutty, crunchy punch of flavor.
  • A spoonful of urad and chana dal can be roasted in hot fat with spices to add texture and toastiness to vegetable stir-fries like green beans palya or rice dishes like chitranna.
